Collector’s Report on FROCK ME!

Vintage Fashion Fair at Chelsea Town Hall Sunday 24th Feb

I love going to Vintage fairs, buying online doesn’t compare to wandering through a hall full of stalls laden with goodies. For me it’s all about talking to the dealers, haggling and admiring all the beautiful things on offer.

FROCK ME! Is a great fair to wander round on a Sunday afternoon, come early if your local for first pick, but if you cant don’t worry. I managed to pick up some great pieces even at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Try to go with a budget in mind, if you go a little bit over its not the end of the world, but it will help you to be more aware of how much you’re spending before your grocery money miraculously disappears.

Here’s what I bought:

  • Ivory coloured Celluloid Chrysanthemum bangle £25 (always wanted one of these!) & 5x Victorian enamel buttons £25 from Sally Forster.
  • Dainty 1930’s multi coloured rhinestone necklace from Flora and Brian Hicks for £12.
  • Antique lace collar £20 and an opera length 1950’s Italian pastel opal glass beads from Rita for £25 (my favourite purchase of the day! And best buy!)
  • Vintage white/blue beaded Givre glass necklace £5.
